I open them whenever for a laugh.
But honestly I love opening pesach threads in the winter because it makes me think that if there are pesach threads already it means winter is almost over LOL

I just held off for 12 hours and it tortured me Crying

But this one doesn't count. I am not going to worry about Pesach until I have my mishoach manot sorted out. That is what I keep trying to tell myself, anyway...
