I have a wedding in a few nights...planning on wearing a black dress with black heels. Do I wear black tights or nude? I have a mishigas about not wearing nude tights in the winter, but I'm not sure if donning all black is the way to go either...

I would wear nude. If you really don't want to theres always sheer black.

It really depends on the dress and to a larger extent, the shoes. Depending on the style, opaque black could look very nice. If you're wearing regular pumps though, then nude is the way to go.

Just came home from a wedding-it was definitely half and half or maybe slightly more wearing black tights. I was totally looking!

Don't wear black tights with an all black dress and black shoes. That's just too black!
Can you wear shoes that aren't black?
A black dress could look fabulous with leopard or zebra calf hair pumps, red stilettos, various colored patent leather or metallic shoes...

I usually wear nude to weddings. I think it's dressier.
Though I went to 2 weddings last week in the freezing cold and wore opaque black for the extra warmth. (Suede heels, so it looked okay). I checked everyone else. Most were wearing black (same reason?) but there were plenty of nude hose as well.
So-no definitive answer. Do what you feel most comfortable with.

Most younger girls/ladies would wear black in the winter to a wedding. It's officially the style code.

definitely nude
1) it's more elegant
2) otherwise you'd be wearing black dress, black tights, black shoes...

I say black.
I recently went to a very formal bar mitzva in a black dress and wasnt sure which way to go, I wore nude. Two other women were also wearing nude, the rest were in black tights. not even sheer black. and most were also wearing black dresses/shoes.
