-make a chocolate cake (could use duncan hines chocolate cake from the box one)
-when the cake comes out of the oven cut off edges (so as not to have hard stuff in ure rum balls)
-pour on top 1 bag chocolate chips and 2 spoonfuls rum extract and mix- chocolate chips will melt.
- let cool a bit and then make your balls
- roll them in shredded coconut or sprinkles (I like the teeny balls ones because they look fancy)
-put them in cupcake holders.
enjoy! my mother's recipe- really good and easy!

Fantastic rum balls recipe thats in our family. Wherever I send these I get requests for the recipe.
1 lb. Cake crumbs
1 box confection sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup wine or grape juice
12 oz. Melted baking chocolate
2 T vanilla sugar
Mix all ingredients together. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Form balls and dip into desired topping. Ex: sprinkles, coconut, melted chocolate, nuts.
