recently I tried making the cherry pockets from the fresh and easy cookbook. I followed the recipe (using half white whole wheat flour) and when the dough was done mixing... it was crumbly and not a dough that could be rolled out and cut.
I looked up a few other pie recipes and all had water or juice in it! and this one didnt. so I improvised and added a T of water at a time till it was a dough I could use. took 4T of water.
I used apple pie filling instead of making the cherry filling in the recipe.
it was pretty good.
before I plan another recipe from there... does anyone know if there are other mistakes?
