I have to do a lesson with my second grade daughter's class and it's based on my job-- as a mom. I was gonna bake.. but doesn't everyone do that and it may be boring for the kids? all out of ideas.. can anyone help?

you can show them how to cut vegetables for a salad, fold their uniform shirts neatly, decorate cupcakes or cookies (bring icing and toppings), set a table properly..... think of all the stuff you do at home that your DD can help you with.

Drama!
Assign class to play assigned parts as kids fighting or bored or not cooperating. Either have them play mom and solve things, or you do it.
You could throw some clothes in a laundry basket for some to carry, do a cooking project (real or play), and set up chairs and a cutout circle steering wheel for carpools. Maybe a baby doll.
I bet they will really enjoy it.

My son is in second grade and loves science experiments. Its the activity I hear the most about.
Something like a great big volcano in water bottle buried in mulch.
Even something more mild like layering different substances - like oil, water, karo syrup, etc.
(oops, just realized you said daughter...)
