My son is doing a project on 9/11 for school, and as part of a side project, I want him to include the biographies of a few victims, to make it more personalized, and not just numbers. I have found some good web sites, but I also want to make sure to include a person of the frum community among those he profiles. Does anyone know of any names I can look for?

I had forgotten the names, but these are the two I was thinking of- they were from Flatbush. Zelmonowitz HYD, actually could have saved himself but stayed back with one of his coworkers who was confined to a wheelchair so he wouldn't be alone. President Bush actually mentioned this act of courage in a speech a few days later.

If you can get your hands on a book called City of Fire, it has biographies in the back and includes several of the names mentioned here, aleihem hashalom.

So sad. I remember hearing there was a yeshiva on Staten Island that had a whole minyan of boys saying Kadish.

Maybe search obits in Jewish Press & Ha Modia from the weeks after 9/11?
