For years, I never had a problem with my laundry. Now, suddenly my colored cotton shirts are coming out of the wash with what looks like oil stains all over them. Any suggestions?

Have you tried cleaning out the washing machine? Maybe something spilled in it or another dirty item left residue.

That can happen if u use too much fabric softener.

Hmmm.. I don't really use fabric softener. I do however use the communal washing machines in an apartment building so I guess it's possible there is residue from somebody else's laundry in there
