Your description of your father's a"h last hours and death is so poignant and full of clarity. It sounds like you were all zocheh to a very meaningful farewell. I hope that you and your family will draw comfort from the obvious appreciation that you have of your father's life and the man that he was. Yehi zhichro baruch.

Glad I could help if just a little.
May you be comforted. It is wonderful that you are there for your mother this week. I wish I could come physically to be at the shiva. But it is just not too practical.
Use this time till the levaya to rest a little. Shiva week is very tiring.
