I have the best marinade for London Broil, courtesy of James Beard:

1/2 c. teriyaki sauce
1/2 c. oil (olive, peanut, corn or canola)
1/4 c. dry sherry or dry red wine
2 Cloves chopped garlic
2 Tablesp. grated or powdered ginger
1 Tablesp. Grated orange rind.

Marinate meat in a heavy-duty plastic bag overnight in refrigerator.

I haven't figured out the best cooking method or cooking time yet. I put it under the broiler, and cut into the meat to see if it was done on the inside (this is bad-- it lets out all the juices).

Next time I'll use a meat thermometer and leave it pretty rare, as the meat continues to cook inside when removed from heat.

I use the one from the Kosher Palette. It is by far my most often complimented recipe. The flavors really bring out the rugged taste of the london broil.

Marinade:
1/2 c. olive oil
1/2 c. low sodium soy sauce
1/4 c. honey (good for R"H!)
1 Tbsp. dried rosemary (or 3 Tbsp. fresh)
1 1/2 Tbsp. coarsely ground pepper
1 tsp. salt
6 cloves garlic, minced. (I am usually too lazy to mince garlic for this recipe and it is amazing even without it.)

Score the meat on both sides (diagonal incisions). Marinade meat for a few hours or overnight. (In refrigerator.) Let it come to room temp. 1/2 hr. before cooking. (I usually forget to do this too and it still cooks well.) Broil or grill for 10 minutes on each side. (medium rare.)

Weird but true! For a rich dark gravy, and an easy way to cook this, just slice an onion and layer the bottom of your crock pot with it. Then, put the meat on top. Add 1 can of coca cola (not diet) and a packet of onion soup mix. Cook all day. This is heavenly and I don’t make it often because it’s full of junk.

With a brisket, that Coca Cola Onion Soup Mix sauce is AMAZING. I've also had it with Ginger Ale and Ketchup added. It makes for heavenly delicious meat.
