I just pierced my toddler dd ears and wasn't sure how to care for them.

Do you remove the earrings or just swab the lobe around with alcohol?

Are you supposed to rotate earring? Just the back or the whole thing?

Thanx!

you should not take the earrings out for at least a month ... didn't they give you instructions ?

use plenty of witch hazel [or solution they gave you] on a cotton swab or ball - turn the earring round & round so it doesn't get stuck as it heals

if you see any redness - use bacitracin ointment or neosporin

Thanx, the instructions I was given were very vague.

With the alcohol, should I remove the back or just swab around it?
Alcohol in the front too?

do NOT take the earring OUT

maybe peroxide is better than alcohol ... but usually there's a solution the place gives you with the new piercing

Don't use alcohol - it's horrible for piercings - dr. Bronners soap is the best IMO.

They changed the care instructions in the last few years. They say to leave it alone, do not do anything, except turn the earrings once a day so the ears don't close up over the earrings.
Do not take off the earring backs and do not take out the earrings.
