Help!! I burnt the soup!

I didnt even know it was possible to do this but I burnt the soup embarrassed
I guess the flame was to high embarrassed. Its a vegetable soup and I blended it and now the burnt taste is in every bite!! Is it salvageable????

Only if your family will accept "it's Texas mesquite-smoke flavoring". Otherwise, give it away to someone who likes the taste of smoke.

Crying I hate throwing away food!! Cant you miracle ladies think of anything to save the soup???

Sad if it happens again, the best way to salvage it is to NOT mix at all, and pour out the non burnt part immediately into a clean pot. Usually it turns out ok.

but I didnt know it was burnt till it was mixed!

When that happens to me I put in a lot of brown rice and its fine.. Try it..

I heard potatoes absorb tastes in the soup, especially if a soup is too salty or spicy. Never tried it though.
