Or you could simply bake your cakes in rectangular loaf pans. With the clever method in this video, you have the problem of "diminishing returns" in that the slices grow progressively smaller. With a rectangular loaf, the slices can all be uniform. Which is why people cut wedges of cake in the first place--so the slices can be uniform.
This is in any event not a problem in the Zaqarias household--a cake would never last long enough to dry out.
ETA: But the video was most entertaining and I'm off to check the library catalog to see if they have his book.
