my baby is 7 weeks old she is indoors most of the day how should I dress her short or long sleeves the air conditioner is on for some of the day

When we had the air co on, I dressed my baby in a cotton all in one with long sleeves. She slept in that without a cover.

I think the 'one more layer than you' thing is more for the winter... I don't know if it's necessarily a universal rule.
In 100 degree heat I wouldn't put an extra layer on a baby.
The point is that babies bodies aren't as good at self regulating temperature.
Inside with strong air conditioning I would also stick to light cotton long sleeves.
