While looking for a booster chair I came across this on amazon. Bambinos Tidy Table Tray. Can someone please tell me if it's a mechaya or a gimmick for an almost 2 year old? From the photos ti seems to be good for eating and crafts.

I clean the table after each meal regardless of who has eaten, so I'm not sure why a toddler would need an additional tray. Unless you have a delicate tablecloth or table, but good luck getting a two year old to keep the mess confined to only the tray. For crafts especially it seems very limiting.

By around 3 years old, my kids have all insisted on eating on the same plates as the rest of us. So I'm with gimmick. You can get plastic plates for toddlers on the cheap.
