Using a dish sponge with dish soap works well for me.

Soft scrub! Nothing works better, especially with those green flat scouring pads.

I don't have a metal sink, it's white, can't think of the material name at the moment (it's not kasherable, so I use tubs). I found the best way to get my sink really clean is bleach with some oxiclean and baking soda. When I use all 3 together it gets it sparkly clean and all the stains out.

Clean after every dish washing session using the same dish sponge and dish soap. Once a week spray with fantastic or any antibacterial cleaner. Let sit to really disinfect. Then scrub clean with same sponge.
For a real shine spray windex and wipe with paper towels.
