Since imamother does not have an automative section. I have to post here.
I discovered that I left my trunk light on for 24 hours. I was able to start the car today and drove it around the block. Do I have to be worried about my car battery?

No, it's fine if it started as long as you didn't just leave it on again.

Your battery should recharge once you start the car again. If you discovered that the lights were on while you were shopping--or a couple of hours (like at a wedding) you'd be fine. However for future reference since they were on for almost a whole day I would drive the car around for about a 1/2 hour to give it a good charge--especially if it's an older battery. If it doesn't start next time you are in the car and you need a jump, then go for a little drive of 15-30 mins to give is a good charge.
