I have a d-link camera in my baby's room and I can watch it on my phone. U just have to pay for the camera. I had it installed in the ceiling. I love it. I can check on my baby anywhere I am...even when on vacation!

I started looking into baby monitors and I heard that with a wifi monitor ppl can hack into your video feed and watch your baby. Im a little nervous about that and DH really wants one so he can see the baby from work. Anyone heard about these hackings?

We have one from Motorola that we can see on our phones from anywhere it's gr8 I can check on the baby without going into her room...about the hacking it is pretty creepy but there's a way to put a password on it that makes the hacking impossible...otherwise I'd be too scared to use it...

we have one. The only issue is if you are using your phone for other purposes you can't see or hear the baby. If you have a spare ipad/ipod/old phone maybe dedicate it for that purpose. Also I found the sound controls patchy. I was never sure if the sound was working or not. Maybe I just never figured out the controls properly.
Its handy because you can see the baby when you are out. I guess you can also use it as a nannycam if you want.
The picture is not that great so I don't know why anyone would want to hack into a sleeping baby.

Well obviously it depends on the monitor you have, on ours the picture is crystal clear and when the baby is quiet there is no sound (none of that scratchy sounds reg monitors make) and the second it picks up sound you can hear it.
As for the hackers unfortunately there are very sick people out there...
So I guess if you invest in a good one its worth it....

because there is no sound it was hard to tell if the sound was on or not.
