with all the threads lately about having frequent cleaning help, I was just curious how much you pay for cleaning help and where.
I pay $100 for a house in nj every 2 weeks (I think it takes 2-3 hours).

$15-16 / hr for my cleaning lady. Comes weekly for 2 hrs. My house is small, less than 1200 sq feet. She's not cheap, but reliable. Has a key to our house, nothing has been stolen, had her for 6 yrs now. Also, we pay the same if she gets her stuff done quicker. Doesn't matter if it's done in 1 or 2 hrs to me, as long as she gets the major stuff taken care of (bathroom, dusting, floors, kitchen).

I'm in Lakewood. I pay $10/hour, 3 hours a week. 1800 sq. ft. house. She has her own car, speaks passable English, and is wonderful!

If she has any extra hours, I am looking for someone... also 3-4 hours a week.

Sorry, she's totally booked - I can never get her for an extra couple of hours because she's always busy...

How do you ladies with the big houses use so little help? I pay $10 for full time help. My house is on the large side in Monsey.

Once a week is not so little. I'm capable of sweeping crumbs, doing dishes, making beds etc etc on the other days. Also, the bathrooms and floors and basics get done every week but not necessarily other stuff
On the flip side, full time? Like every day? So you do nothing housework related?

I pay $10 an hour for about 4 hours a week (all on Friday) for a 2 bedroom apartment in Los Angeles. I don't understand how some of you manage with less than that and have bigger spaces. I guess we are just messier or lazier
