I bought a huge mum indoor plant but all the flowers died over yom tov . Do mums rebloom if you take off all the dead flowers? Or is the plant a goner? Also how do I keep a plant alive if I'm away for a 3 day y"t without watering it?

They are sold as annuals, which means they live for a season and are discarded when blooming ceases. However, they are botanically perennials, so if you want to keep them over the winter and try to get them to bloom next season, you may. Pick off the dried flowers now and cut back on watering to no more than once a week, or even less in winter.
To water plants over a long holiday, fill a small plastic bottle like a water bottle with water and cap it. use a push pin or straight pin to poke a tiny hole in the bottom, then place the bottle directly on top of the soil. Water will gradually drip into the soil.
