I want to send my DIL a vase for her birthday.
They are newlyweds & haven't got one.
I want my son to buy her flowers hence a vase.
Can someone please help me with a poem which will incorporate that DS should fill it with flowers.
TIA

call me a down to earth euro, but just tell your son you think he should. Or maybe she doesn’t like flowers. How would it work with a poem anyway? What if she gets what it means but he doesn’t?

Perhaps SHE should choose the vase. It's a very personal thing.

Here’s a gift from me to you
To hold fresh flowers when you’re blue
They’ll brighten your day and make it fun
Unless you don’t get any from my lazy-a** son.

A vase is personal?

I'm not a cute poem kind of person, but I think a warm note would be appreciated. We are so happy to have you in the family bla bla bla

Poem is from your son?

A beautiful gift to display
To view and gaze upon each day.
A special gift from me to you,
A vase to adorn our home so new.
Inside we will fill it with beautiful flowers,
This base belongs to us, it is ours.
The flowers of many colors represent,
More than a simple home accent.
IYH soon a garden of our own will bloom,
With healthy, happy children in every room.
The vase is a metaphor for the home we wish to plant,
And we ask Hashem our wishes please grant.
A wonderful life together we yearn for,
Happiness, love, understanding, and our own flowers to adore.

It's beautiful but really heavy/emotional for a simple vase. Or I just don't get the concept.

C'mon, if you're not going to get heavy/emotional, if everything isn't weighted with limitless profundity and potential in shana rishona, then when?
Seriously though, maybe use another poem and save this one for a pleasant surprise in ten years Very Happy

It is heavy. That's what I was going for, but it doesn't have to resonate with everyone.
