How and when does one go about looking for a job in a sleepaway camp? I've been working at a day camp for the last few summers (I work in a school during the year) and am interested in a change of pace. Now's the time of year to start looking for something, right?
Do I just call places up and ask if they're hiring or is there a better, more targeted way to find something?
What kind of jobs are likely to be open for someone with 2 small kids in tow? How bad is the competition for those jobs? Is there anything (experience, connections, whatever) that might give me an edge?
I hope I don't seem like a clueless flake, I'm just new at this and don't want to make a stupid mistake or assumption. I don't want to specify my past experience or skills right now so I can stay anonymous.
