They did leave a lot hanging, but I'm sure the Xmas special will resolve a lot.

So who saw the last episode? I guess thats it besides for the chistmas special? I love this show. I dont want it to end.

now we have to wait for the x-mas special and then we have to wait until september again for the next season. Each season only seems to have 8 shows and the x-mas special.

DH and I also just watched the x-mas special.
I thought it dragged a bit at times and, as usual, I could do w/o the Bates/Anna story line.
I'm also bummed that there won't be anything more until September. Sad

I am a rabid DA fan, even though I just discovered the series last year.

I think it's coming to a close. I imagine next year will be the last season. You can see them starting to wrap up the storylines.

I loved the CS this year. So nice and sentimental at the end.

Love the show but we're sev seasons behind b/c we have no TV and download it on computer. We're at about season 3 or so? Mary & Matthew married, Sybil dead, estate in financial trouble again. I think Matthew is a prince who would have been far better off with Lavinia had she lived, and Mary is a selfish and self-centered so-and-so who doesn't deserve him for one moment. In fact, Mary really loves only two things: herself and her home. Ugh. I can't imagine why Carson adores her so.
But Maggie Smith is peerless. Her Dowager Countess is a snob's snob, but her dry irony provides much-needed comic relief. As do her hats, along with everyone else's.
