Sometimes I stop on the way home from work and have coffee.

This is to answer both the quote and Dr.Mom. Yes! It's a "kind of" research, but a very personal one. I LOVE going out for coffee so much but I sometimes have teeny tiny micro feelings of guilt because my mom worked hard every second of her life except for Shabbos (when she usually collapsed of fatigue) and I get the impression that some women consider going out for coffee a waste of time. That's why I wanted to know your "feelings" about it, Dr. Mom.
I loved the answers. How validating for me that many "normal" women consider going out for coffee ("coffee" means to sit by yourself, with a friend or with friends and have some "bonding" time even if it's with herbal tea ) an enjoyable, normal, fun, social, even a healthy thing to do.

I would happily go out for coffee with a friend and drink hot chocolate, but who has time for that? |
Maybe retired women, women who work and can meet friends at lunchtime or women whose children are older? Or women who don't have kids.

I wish I had time. but yes, in theory, if I were to have a date with a friend, a coffee in a cafe would be lovely.
