Why not? Who wouldn't like flowers? I don't know why people assume that men wouldn't want to receive flowers.

CM- Thank you soo much for your kind offer. First of all, I am in New Jersey, so I couldn't get it from you. Second of all, Dh is on a diet, and wouldnt be too happy with cookies to set him farther from his goal. But again, thank you.

Frame a picture of him from his past, I do that once in a while, go thru his old pics, frame a pic that shows a happy time he was having back in Yeshiva, summer camp, skiing....

OP here- My co-worker had a great idea- you know those antique leather things that have hadlokas neiros, kriyas shemah, havdalah etc. in the Judaica stores? I will get one with Friday night kiddush and put it with a card next to his place tonight.

Can't wait!

He really liked it! I got a leather like bentcher type book with sholom aleichem and eishes chayil and kiddush in in with some silver on the cover. I had it all wrapped up (just not sealed) and put under his challah cover- when he put the challah out of the oven under the challah cover - he found it ! One day I will take it back to the store to have his name put on it in gold on the cover. I spend about $40 for it- I wasnt looking to spend that much, but it had silver on it- and he really liked it - so I guess he will have it forever and it was worth it.
