Would DH find a work doing this?

DH is very handy, and has experience as an upholster. He makes an ok living here, but does such a job exists in Israel? Everyone I know who made Aliyah works in computers.

Um,not every immigrant to Israel works in computers. I know many people with many different trades. If he can make a name for himself, Im sure it could be a great profession to go into.

Yes, people do uphoster here.
I have no idea how well he would do here. Depends on so many factors - where he would be working, would he be independent or work for someone, how talented he is, how good at marketing he is.

In general, it's quite expensive to uphoster here. People do it when they have a special piece of furniture. In general, it's often cheaper to buy a new couch, for example, than to upholster an old one.
