Are you willing to stay in Brookline or does it have to be Boston proper? If so check out the Holiday Inn on Beacon street near Coolidge Corner. I'm pretty sure they have a pool, the T is outside your door (5-10 minutes to downtown) plus walking distance to shul and kosher food

You should check out a travel site (Travelocity etc) and put in how many miles outside of Boston you're willing to be also include "pool" in your criteria .

Anything near downtown Boston (including Brookline) will be very, very expensive. 20 even 10 miles out you can get a much better deal. As long as you have a car...not a problem. If you don't want to drive into downtown Boston itself, you can probably drive into Brookline and feed a meter (there are some 10 hr meters) and take the trolly downtown.

Hi, we did a "name you own price" with Priceline and got the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge (short train ride or nice scenic walk to downton). It cost us $150 per night, at the end of summer.

When you name you own price, be sure to put in a high star amount (royal sonesta is a 4 star) and the general area you want to stay in (you can choose on map).

We have used it many times, and have usually been satisfied.
