On Chol Hamoed, we are going to visit someone we know at Otisville correctional facility. My husband is the only one going in, but I need to entertain the kids (ages 8 and 3) until he is ready to be picked up a few hours later. I know it's in the middle of nowhere, but what is the closest park, or shopping area, or something to do? Thanks in advance!

The galleria of middletown is approx 25 minutes away.

Holiday mountain, which has go carts, bumping cars and boats,some rides and an indoor kiddie play area, is not far.

I second Holiday Mountain, too. Fun for all ages. And there may even be snow tubing on chol hamoed!
