We are looking to get away together just the two of us. Looking for somewhere driving distance within reason from NY with fun ideas to do.
Kosher food is a plus but not a must.

What do you like to do, and how long do you want to go for? If you want kosher food you're limited to cities. You could go to Philly, Boston, Baltimore (w/ option of DC). If you want to go farther there's Niagara Falls. If you can do without food there's Newport RI.

Dh and I had a great time in monsey once.
We stayed in a hotel, had plenty of restaurants and minyanim, and did a hike on the palisades, bear mountain, and some nice shopping at the palisades mall.

Thanks for the replies. Monsey is a little too close. Maybe Niagra. What is there to do there? How far is it from NY?
