Does anyone else know how to play??

I have my fondest memories of my Great-Grandmother OBM, and how as she got older the rules changed to her advantage Smile

I love Rummykub! And so do my kids - ages 6 and 4. We play Shabbos afternoon - and they are quite good! My 4 yr. old is addicted!

So do you pronounce the last part as "cub" or "cube"?

we always say rummy Q
use to play 4 hands every Shabbos afternoon until one friend/neighbor decided to hate me

it's more like gin rummy, I think, than mah jhong-which my mother has played for decades-and my children play too (but I refuse to learn just because)

here's our rules:
need 51 to lay down
can't touch other's tiles until you've laid yours
have to call what the wild replaces-and the wild can only be taken with that tile-and has to be used on that turn

and our "house" rule: after first one goes out, play continues until everybody wins!

In my family we used to play that you take one before every turn - no matter if you can go or not.

Our house rules are play quick, when the kid wakes up from nap, the game better be done or he will help it end!
