I am looking for an assortment of dairy soup recipes for Shavuos. French onion, broccoli cheddar, potato leek....or anything you recommend.
I don't want any soups that call for soup powder or stock (I'm a little lenient on stock, but don't want anything with soup powder).
Thanks!

French Onion Soup
• 4 large Vidalia onions, sliced
• 4 Tbsp butter
• 1 cup dry white wine
• 2 Tbsp flour
• 8 cups water
• 1 Tbsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
In a 4-quart stockpot, sauté onions in butter over medium heat for about 8 minutes, or until caramelized to a nice golden brown, stirring frequently so they don’t burn.
Add wine and continue to sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
Slowly stir in flour.
Stirring to keep lumps from forming, add water, salt and pepper; bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Ladle into bowls.
Garnish with a slice of French bread that has been toasted with cheese until bubbly.
Or sprinkle generously with cheese, which will melt immediately.

I love asparagus cream soup. Saute onion and garlic in butter until fragrant. Add asparagus and saute a few minutes. Add water (minus one cup) and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer about 30 minutes. Turn off heat, add cream, blend. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
