I am making home made cooked vegetable and fruit purees for my 5 m.o.
Is it safe to spoon it into disposable plastic cups (while still warm?), then let it cool in the cups and put it in the freezer? Is the disposable plastic cup freezer safe?
(I usually freeze hummus and sauces this way but now that I'm doing it for the baby I'm wondering if it is actually ok.)
I want to freeze individual portions, and I don't have any other suitable containers right now.

I think if it's warm and not hot it's not an issue. If you are looking to buy something else (or have in the house), I use a muffin pan. Makes the perfect shape and amount. I just pop them out when frozen and put in ziplock baggies.

I froze homemade baby food in ice cube trays and then popped them out and stored them in ziploc bags. each ice cube was an oz and I would take out as many as my child would eat (more over time) and defrost them. worked great for me.
