ISO Community like Passaic/Clifton

We are searching for a nice, modern yeshivish community like Passaic / Clifton. That's where we currently live but cannot afford to upgrade our home. Thw house prices here are insane.

We both work, need to be near transportation to NYC and would like a school just like YBH.

Any ideas?

Edison could be a good option, if the commute works for you. Staten Island is probably a little cheaper, though not quite as yeshivish. In the other direction you could check out North Woodmere.

Thanks. We would consider Edison, we just don't know anyone who lives there.

Anyone else have any other ideas?

Is Edison really much more affordable?
Are property taxes any better there?

Have you considered moving more to the "outskirts" if you love it there so much? I know someone who moved past katherine because she said that's where she could afford a house she liked.... she's near plenty of shuls just not near the center of the frum communty, just a thought.
