I will be finishing to work at my current job and would like to buy my supervisor a meaningful gift in appreciation for his outstanding mentorship.
Any ideas for what might be appropriate gift? He is an accomplished doctor/scientist in his early fifties.

In theory, that's a great idea. But I'm pretty sure at this point he has access to all the journals he wants.

Gift certificate is usually a safe bet. Barnes and Nobles, Starbucks, Sharper Image.....etc.
