I recall that there used to be a linen store in BP that would make duvet covers from your own sheets. Does this still exist? Any idea of cost?

My mom used to have this done all the time and I think it was pretty cheap, like $15. Dont know where she had it done, but I'll try to find out

It is a real money saver and also expands the "market" of available linens. Thanks pesek Zman for checking!

There is a linen store on Coney between J&K that does it - I think they send it out.

Why can't any seamstress do it? Do they charge more? I do it myself with a zipper.

Just curious, what size flat sheets do you use and for a standard size duvet comforter?
I assume you need to flat sheets for each duvet?

I had that done at a seamstress.
I bought flat sheets, a big zipper (seamstress told me to buy BIG durable zipper, like for out door style things.)
Brought it to her, and $30 had myself two new duvet covers.

Ra_Mom, you use whatever size the bed is. In other words, twin sheets for twin bed, double sheets for double bed...
We don't have seamstresses in my neighborhood. We have people who do clothing alterations but they would charge a bundle. That's why I am willing to go to BP.
