Any frum Mommy and Me groups in Flatbush? Or any other ways to meet young moms like me? I have a 4 month old, not currently working, and I love taking care of my son all day but lately I've been feeling bored and lonely and in need of new friends. All my friends got married and moved out of Brooklyn, I need to find a way to make new friends or I'm going to go crazy in Babyland. When I was single I always met new people in camp, seminary, work, etc. but now I feel like I have no platforms to meet new people. Any suggestions for how a mid-20s stay at home mom of a 4 month old can meet other young frum women/moms in Flatbush?

Not looking to bash brooklyn, so dont take this the wrong way Brooklyners:
your post title sounds very reasonable- Looking to meet young moms/friends
why not? very nice idea.
then the post title ends with "in brooklyn"
Thats where it gets tough.
its really hard to meet people in Brooklyn....
theres no great Mommy and Me classes really, no real meeting ground for young moms, theres no really great mommy social events...
maybe you can start something, start a fun Mommy and Me??
Good Luck

Also in Brooklyn and in need of friends. I feel like there must be people out there but I can't seem to meet them.

I am not a young mommy or am in Brooklyn. Why don't you create a meet up in Flatbush near a park and get to meet eAch other.

go to the babies and books group in the library. you can just show up in the summer, but you have to register for the fall (at least, at the kings highway branch. not sure about other branches. lots of frum women there, though). call the library and ask for their schedule. they should be able to tell you when registration is, and it's a free activity.

I was going to suggest story time at the library. Thats how I met a few ladies from on here that I'm still friends with 6 years later. Also are there any headstarts in Flatbush who run home based headstart with Mommy and Mes? I know Yeled Vyalda and Kindervelt has that in Boro Park.
