What sort of inexpensive red wine do you use for cooking?
I usually use Kedem Chablis for white cooking wine.
Would any of these be comparable in red or is there something else you would recommend?

Kedem Estate Classic Dry Red
Kedem Burgundy Royale

Kedem brand seems to be readily available at our supermarket.

Any dry red should do ok. I like Altoona Hills merlot for cooking, it's decent and inexpensive. Wine for food should be drinkable (ie: not what they sell as "cooking wine") but it doesn't need to be fancy.

If you cut balsamic vinegar with water one-to-one, so it is half vinegar and half water, the result will do for a red cooking wine.
