We are traveling this shabbos and have no way to warm up food. We found chicken to cook but now I need a simple recipe for chicken on bone which is good even if cold.
Should have brought my crockpot.
TIA

Does it have to be on the bone? Schnitzel is pretty good at room temperature.

Unfortunately we couldn't find cutlets here. We are thinking of buying a crockpot.

If you really need to keep things simple you can just cut/ pull the chicken off the bones after cooking and toss it into a salad or make a sandwich with it.

Breaded chicken on the bone is great at room temperature. Even plain spiced chicken is good. Just take it out an hour or so before you want to eat so it isn't so cold.

If you skin the breaded chicken first it shouldn't have congealed fat on it.
Recipe: skin chicken. Either
a. marinate in equal parts lemon juice and oil, with spices like parsley, paprika, garlic
b. don't marinate but stir spices into mayo (I use Old Bay seasoning and Osem "MSG free" onion soup mix) and spread on chicken
Then coat with cornflake crumbs, bake at 375-400 for 75-90 minutes, YMMV.
