A shrug in a jewel tone or Pastel in pink, purple, or blue, will pop against the grey. With coordinating accessories of course.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I tried a lighter shell underneath but the woman in the store said "It looks like you put a tshirt under a dress" - I guess it was too casual? But maybe it just wasn't the right fit. A bolero/shrug sounds like a great idea too. I don't know if I could pull off the blouse idea but I imagine it would look wonderful on some women. In any case, thanks for all the suggestions. I appreciate all the input

Im not visualizing a crisp shirt under it. Can someone post a picture of what that style looks like?
Personally I have low tolerance for sleeveless dressed with kiki riki type shell under it.
But I am curious about the shirt under it- never saw anyone doing that look... yet.

First thought that came to mind is a balero the one that closes in the back with a bow ribbon. As for what color if your from brooklyn Katz fabrics are very good at matching colors. Louds of luck

I would do a light blue slinky shell with light blue accessories, maybe earrings that have light blue stones, and a small clutch with light blue stones....

If you get really desperate, depending on how expensive the dress is, you could buy two and make one into a bolero. Have people really called companies to ask for extra fabric?? Everyone talks about it, but do they do it?
