Looking for more info about various out of town cities . Have looked into South Bend, Cincinatti, or suburbs right out of Chicago.
Any other ideas?
Looking for somewhere on the small side, where we can make a difference, where we will know most of the community, and things are financially taken care of relatively easy.

There are many OOT cities with kollelim - Boston, Denver, Phoenix, Portland OR, Las Vegas, plus several in Detroit and Cleveland - but often you need a connection to get in, or somebody who will recommend you, as these positions are often very in demand and highly competitive.

Where are you now? Do you have guidance in your current kollel to help place you? These cities have a very limited amount of positions, and there aren't always openings. The only real way to get in once there is an opening is to have someone in a higher position reach out to contact the powers that be in the kollelim about you.

We are in E"Y.
Who is best to contact? Is there an organization? We have just been calling random out of town cities and asking them if they have openings.

Many times the yeshivos themselves where the avreichim are currently learning have a person who helps with placement, but it sounds like yours may not.

Nope, the rosh kollel barely speaks English, most people are here in E"Y to stay.

It will be very difficult then. Would you consider doing a 1-2 year program like Ner L'Elef or Jerusalem Kollel or Ohr LaGolah that trains you and then helps with placement? I think you'd have a much better chance of success.

Can't really afford that at this point in time, We need either a good paying kollel or DH has to go to work.
