What toys are must-haves for 6-12 month old babies? This is my first, so I'm unsure of what to get her.

Save your money. I always found my babies never played with toys under 1. Colorful things around the house that they can touch are more than enough. Babies love to bang spoons in pots. Play with tupperware. If you want maybe get one or two rattles or even a baby doll.

My baby loves anything she can get into her mouth. Unfortunately, she seems to have a thing for shoes.
She loves toys she can hold and shake and crinkle and gnaw on. Now that she's sitting up and crawling she enjoys bigger toys like a classic stacking toy and things that roll so she can give chase.
