My baby started solids about two three weeks ago. At first she was fine but now she's been constipated for a few days and she's in pain. What can I do to help her?

Stop giving her rice cereal, if that's what you've been doing. Get baby oat cereal if you really want to use a grain, or try plain applesauce or something instead. How old is she? You do NOT need to give cereal, it's totally ok to go right to fruit or veg.
Call the doc for amounts, but you should be able to give small amounts of apple juice or white grape juice to help her pass whatever's stuck in there.

She's six months. I've been giving her chicken soup with mashed carrot and sweet potato. That seemed fine but then I started giving her string beans and Apple sauce and that's when she started getting constipated. No cereal

All the p fruits should help- pear, plum, etc.
The applesauce is probably whats causing it, avoid BRAT,bananas toast applesauce and rice.

Good on you for giving her real food
Try giving just pears. Give her a few tablespoon of fruit juice mixed with a little water to drink. Bicycle her legs to try and help her body move things along.

White grape juice is also very helpful. Give an oz 1-2 times day.

You're giving the right foods, though applesauce may be the culprit. How old is she?

She's six months. I'm assuming that's what it is because it happened when I started giving that to her. Never thought apples make you constipated

Not apples, applesauce. Not sure what the reason behind that is though.
It could also be that her digestive system is still getting used to solids. Make sure you're not giving her too much. Solids should not replace breastmilk or formula at this age.

It's already been quite a few days and nothing is working. She is still constipated and in so much pain. When I try to change her she would start crying. She is all red down there. I see that she holds it in I guess it's too painful to come out. Is it worth going to the doctor can they do anything?

I would stop with the solids for a few days. Sort of clean up her system before trying again. It helped for my dd.
