She loves books, cds etc but want something substantial looking as a gift.
Up to $30, any ideas?

Is there a specific series of books she likes? Get her a set (or several books from a series) for a more substantial gift than just giving 1 book. Does she like doing crafts or art projects? If so you can buy her a craft set that allows her to make several projects (I.e. friendship bracelets, headbands, etc).
