What do you make your family for dinner to go with cheese latkes?

Are they sweet or savory?
If savory I do israeli salad and a soup
If sweet, sweet potato, and butternut squash soup and/or a sweet type of salad (spinach with strawberries/mandarin oranges etc)

Served with a creamy veggie soup and lettuce salad sounds like an amazing supper.

My mom makes a savory recipe with farmer cheese. I don't have the recipe but can get it if you'd like.

For savory ones, fill with farmers cheese, sauteed onions and mushrooms.
Potato and cheddar is yummy, too. Basically, any filling you would use for bourekas or pierogis will work.

I did sauteed quinoa mixed with sauteed vegetables and cubes of salmon topped by two broiled vegetable skewers served together with sweet cheese latkes. Appetizer was a fruit salad and dessert was donuts!

sounds amazing! I ended up doing baked ziti and sliced cantaloupe on the side of the latkes husband and 2 year old loved them, and we had the leftovers for breakfast with fresh berries.

I want to try a savoury recipe next time. mushroom onion cheddar sounds good.
