My family loves bagels with all the shmears, salads and fixins, so we're having that for first day lunch. Do I need to bake challos for that meal, too? It seems wasteful to have challos and also bagels since we'll use so little challah, yet it seems improper to make kiddush and then wash on a bagel instead of a challah... ya know what I mean?
What's your opinion on the best way to do it?
