Hi!!! Im putting in new carpet into my house - hallway, steps, bedrooms.
What type/ color of carpet would u suggest - nice but also practical.

Do you want solid or patterned? Will there be heavy traffic in those areas? Do u want the same one throughout? What's your price range? What's your wall coloring? Etc etc it depends on a lot .

I would recommend a darker color due to a lot of foot traffic in those areas. So you don't see the dirt and stains as quickly.
That said what color are your walls and area furniture? That can make a big difference.
If you prefer something lighter look for carpets that are easy clean - or those specially made to be stain proof.

Darker color and/or busy pattern. Since stairs/hallway are high-traffic areas, go for a commercial carpet.

If anyone in your family has allergies to dust, etc, consider the industrial or very low pile carpet for that bedroom.

So the color of the walls - dont make a difference cuz im probably painting.
Im thinking of dark grey for the steps and hallway. Any specific pattern or design works or looks better? Or is more in?
