how to I reply while quoting a post
not that it shouls say "quote. how do I get the post to be in blue?

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and someone enlightened me.
Click on "quote" at the top of that persons post that you want to highlight...and it will open up that post...you have the option then to BOLD just a sentence or word in that post and you can type your comment after the words of the original post.

you also have the option to highlight & delete the part of the quote that is not pertinent to your thread response
