Ami feels like a tabloid and I read a few articles that had misinformation that could be dangerous. One article in particular was about a health issue that I know intimately well (unfortunately) and they wrote about a quack treatment that has been completely discredited as though it's the cure for cancer......So I don't trust them. I do like the recipes though. I basically buy it when the Ami Living cover looks like the recipes will interest me.
mishpacha is better, imho, they seem to have higher editorial standards, or at least, are less sensationalist.
I personally subscribe to Binah and Hamodia. They are less exciting, but at least there are some editorial standards.
