Hi,we were scheduled to go to Cancun, Mexico, but now with this Zika outbreak I am hesitant to go.
Any vacation warm beach areas within 3-4 hour flight from NYC/ Philly that were not affected?
Nowhere in Florida, just not a vacation for us if half of New York is there.
Thanks in advance.

Someone told me that it can stay in your system for up to 2 years, so I am not willing to take that risk at this point..

Florida doesn't have to mean Miami or Orlando. There are lots of beach towns that won't be overrun with NYers. Think the west coast, the keys etc etc

Jetblue has non-stop flights (3 hours or less) to several Caribbean islands - Grand Cayman, Aruba, Turks and Caicos, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, etc. Check the Zika list of countries to see which ones aren't on it.
