I'm in the midst of a W30 and I need a good paleo, W30 friendly cholent.

Last week I tried just putting a london broil, onions, some mini potatoes and water into the crock pot. It was gross.

Any ideas?

If you can have meat and potatoes you can make a great stew.

Also, yummy creamy yapsuk.

Is sweet potato whole 30? I make stew from meat, meat bones, carrots, sweet potatoes and turnips. Will that work?

Try it without water or VERY little. Lots of onions and add garlic. I add sweet potatoes too. And call it cholentish

I actually forgot about yapsuk when I posted on the another thread. I usually reserve it for Pesach so it must have slipped my mind Smile. It's another great dish that works well when cooked over Shabbos.
See realeez's recipe, my fave.

Another version of this is potato kugel cholent which is also very good (and more fattening Tongue Out)

As for beef stew, I've never made for shabbos as I prefer is cooked for 9 hours, but if OP is limited in what she can make I'm sure it can work for her.

Again, these are only if you can eat potatoes on the paleo diet, which OP said she can.

Whole30 recently added potatoes to their allowed list. Sweet potatoes were always allowed.

Ok. I see they were added 6 months ago and sweet potatoes were added 2 years ago. I havent done in a while...
I Dont really agree with the addition of potatoes but it looks like its what people want and it will attract more people...

Interesting because potatoes are not paleo or primal. I wonder why they were added.
