Yes, unless you think your guests are super-popular and will be booked.
I think Rosh Chodesh Adar 2 is fine.

I think it depends on who you are inviting. If it is someone for whom it is a nice, fun idea but has plenty of options, including staying home, I think you should wait. But if it someone for whom it will be a relief to know they already have plans (singles, people without available family, those in other difficult situations), it is never too early.

We have started inviting because people tend to get booked up and if you want to be one of the hosts then you have to get in there before others do!
